It is time to fly away..

It is time to fly away..

Dear all,

how was you trip to Italy this year? You did not come? Well it is never too late to book your next trip and while you are doing that I am writing to you from my new home away from home, Palm Beach.

While in Florence I had the pleasure to see many of you, I developed with my team the coming collection and in the spare time 😂 I had fun shooting some picture with the beautiful Meg!!

November and December are beautiful in Florence, the city is a bit quieter and you have it all for yourself...and your new cashmere coat!

Now, tag me in your stories, write to me, stay in touch with social networks and if you need a special personal shopper session online, you can ask to:

PALM BEACH

A new season is here, days are a bit shorter of course and yet the 85 degrees and the gentle breeze from the ocean make this place quite enjoyable during the Fall and Winter seasons.

Do not get me wrong, I LOVE my Bella Firenze every time of the year, however this temperature and the Vitamin D boost is a catch too!!

If you do not know where I am, take a look into this brief video starring my dear friend Rick Rose, if you are in love with the architectural tips in Palm Beach his tours on the Avenue have quite a following!!

Last, if you have been already many times at The Breakers (still stunning), The Colony and The Brazilian Courts, you have 2 new Hotels opening up this season, the Palm House and The Vineta (former The Chesterfield). Not too many rooms added and yet more space and venues for your next escape from the cold winter.

Actually I have many friends and customers coming for the weekend from Naples and the West Coast of Florida, 48hrs in Palm Beach are worth the drive on Alligator Alley!!

FIRENZE...

Fall in Tuscany is in full swing! There’s nothing that gets foodies more excited at this time of year than vivid green, freshly pressed olive oil. Farms all over the region are carrying out the labor of love collecting their olives in order to produce “liquid gold”, a tradition that has been carried out for centuries. And the product is certainly worth it! You must try fettunta, a word in Tuscan dialect that means “greasy slice”. It’s simply new olive oil slathered on toasted, local (saltless!) bread. Delizioso!

There’s no shortage on the cultural scene, as always! A spectacular display has been inaugurated at Palazzo Vecchio titled Michelangelo and Power. The master and his fascinating relationship with those in influential positions is explored through sculptures, paintings, drawings, autographed letters and plaster casts, unfolding across the Sala delle Udienze and the Sala dei Gigli until January 26.

Palazzo Strozzi has unveiled a mesmerizing installation titled Shy Society in its Renaissance courtyard, created by Dutch duo, DRIFT. Until January 26, you can find the seven large flower-like elements rise and fall in a dance-like accompaniment to the soundtrack designed by U.S. composer Robert Fitzgerald Diggs, aka RZA. The enchanting experience is certainly drawing interest from both the art world and curious passersby!

Another one you won’t want to miss is Impressionists in Normandy at Museo degli Innocenti, from November 21 to May 4. The dreamy landscapes and serene settings will no doubt warm your soul as the weather gets cooler, with much-loved works by the likes of Monet, Renoir, Delacroix, Bonnard and Courbet capturing the imagination.

L’eredità delle Donne is the woman-focused fest that takes ‘Future’ as the theme for its 7th edition. Packed with talks and featuring many special guests, it’s held at Manifattura Tabbacchi from November 22-24 but also streamed online if you won’t make it in person. The site is a former tobacco factory that underwent extensive works in recent years, becoming a cultural and community hub. They often hold guided tours if you’re interested in this kind of urban regeneration project!

A one-stop-shop for all events this autumn can be found on the Autunno Fiorentino calendar. Accessed at www.cultura.comune.fi.it/eventi-autunno-fiorentino, it pulls together over 300 events across shows, concerts, performances, dance and more, with the ever-updated lineup ensuring you’ll never be stuck for something to do!

If you’re looking for a scrumptious and healthy fall alternative to chips, why not switch out potatoes for Cavolo nero (a type of kale)? This super-easy Tuscan classic is ready in just a few minutes. Simply remove all the stems, break the leaves up into uneven chunks, drizzle them with olive oil, salt and chili flakes and place them in the oven. After 7 minutes at 400°F, this crispy delicacy will be ready to enjoy!

Have a wonderful November!

With love,

Jennifer
