2022 here we come...what new leather shoes will you bring?

Dear all,

Happy New Year!!!  I must say, the excitement of a new year never dies! These days it seems extra trendy to pull the plug on resolutions altogether, but I love the idea of a clean slate, and enjoy doing some intention setting for the months and adventures ahead.

Nothing wrong with dreaming big—but maybe that’s the Florentine romantic in me talking!

If you’re not all that excited about 2022 yet, well, bear with me for just a few more lines with this newsletter.

I will spend January mostly in Palm Beach, I have been blessed to have my parents here with me, I will make some trips to my Woodbury Atelier on Long Island for my seasonal fitting events.

On January 13th please join me with a traditional meet the artist event in my new Shoe Atelier on 226 Worth Avenue. I will unveil my new jewelry collection, new looks from the Spring Summer 2022 and most important I will be happy and proud to host the new Kyle Lucks Fine Art exhibition with "It All Began With a Pair of Shoes..." you can have a preview on You Tube (Click Here). An RSVP is welcome please click here.

While in Palm Beach in January, having absorbed as much vitamin D you can get, enjoy the "International Polo Season". Each January through April, the world’s premier polo players and polo enthusiasts head to The Palm Beaches for this top-level competition located in Wellington.

The 2021 season was a little different. No public spectators were able to attend matches, except during the ticketed Sunday brunch. Please stay tuned for 2022 updates, watching thrilling polo, having delicious cuisine, everyone making a fashion statement and veranda seating in one of the finest venues in Florida – this experience is a must-do.

On January 28th, opening Palm Beach Opera’s historic 60th anniversary season is Bizet’s iconic Carmen, one of the world’s most popular operas. Featuring captivating melodies, irresistible characters and a smoldering drama that has stood the test of time, Carmen is a sizzling masterpiece.Who said that we have only beaches in the Palm Beaches!!

For the ones heading to Florence (well despite the Omicron variant vaccinated and boostered travellers are unstoppable) January brings one of the city’s signature events: the super-elegant, industry-swaying Pitti Immagine Uomo, a historic menswear trade fair that brings fashion tastemakers and influencers from around the world to Tuscany. Kicking off on January 11th and running through January 13th, it’s one of the best times of the year for people and trends watching.

Beyond the events, come January I always crave a little time for post-holiday rest and self-care. Ironic, right? But all the celebrating can get a bit draining. Unwinding with a glass of wine or waking up with a cappuccino at home, naturally, nibbling on leftover panettone and Christmas cookies—little rituals like this lend joy to my January days.

2022 brings new things and old ones too...I have already introduced the new Shoes Atelier on 226 Worth Avenue and fast forwarding a bit in October we will be back on the road, it is too early to confirm the New York City Show however we will be back for sure in Minneapolis and maybe Chicago for my seasonal shows....well masks up, negative tests in hand and the carousel will keep back once again.

WAIT!! Forgot to mention it...you always ask me where to eat while you come and visit me, now the list of my favorite spots in Florence is well known (and funny to say it is always the same over all these years!!) but what about Palm Beach? OK I promise I will try more places moving forward however the best to mention for now is BICE on Worth Avenue, to be tried: Eggplant Parmigiana (my mother in law is still the best but this one comes right after it) and the Veal Milanese.

Then for who is not only visiting for few days, if you ever feel the nostalgia of a GREAT dessert and you have time to book it, you must try the GANACHE Bakery in West Palm Beach and order a traditional "Millefoglie" cake...then if you are in a rush, the Sant Ambroeus version is always ready to go and worth the shot!

Best wishes to you all for a 2022 filled with good health, good company and plenty of sparkle.

See you all very soon!! With Love....yours,

Jennifer
